ITN 156 As A Whole: Catching up!

It Has Come To An End

Well, as the semester has come to an end I have learned a a lot in this class. I have not been posting for a while, and I am sorry, been very busy.

In this semester we have learned about everything from Topology, structures, and even all the way to troubleshooting and everything in between.

The class has been very fun with labs, learning about different things and how each and everything works by doing different type of configs and "programming" so to speak.

Learning how to do even more with switches and routers than last semester has given me a better understating on how to operate them, configure them and make the work in they way I want them to work. Putting different commands and using programs like Packet Tracer make it easier and more fun to explore and mess with different router settings and watching what happens and what doesn't happen when you connect routers to certain ports.

Subnetting was also a really big thing! I am still having some trouble with it but like everything else in life, you have to do it to become good at it! I am just going to have to put it to use and see what i can do with it!

This has been a great semester with my class again and my awesome teacher but it has come to an end and I will write ya next time. Take it easy!

Chapter 1

In chapter 1, I have already learned about the hierarchical model, which consists of the Access Layer, Distribution Layer, and the Core Layer. I have also learned about the different types of Enterprise Architectures, Enterprise Campus, Enterprise Edge, Service Provider Edge. Hoe traffic moves and where it moves was also a big factor in this chapter. Learned what Teleworking is, use of technology to replace business tarvel which really helps with business men and women who travel. These people will often use email, web chat, desktop and application sharing, FTP, telnet, VoIP to make jobs easier.
